A local slating and tiling roof specialist with over 30 years’ experience is looking to recruit someone on a trial basis, with a view to becoming permanent.  No previous experience is necessary however the ideal candidate should be willing to learn, be conscientious, and most importantly be reliable.

Why not try the local garden centres as well as florists.  Your knowledge of plants and experience on the allotment would be put to better use there.  Good luck.

Good for you ! We have Valentines day approaching as well as Mothers Day, may I suggest that you go into all the local florists and offer to do a morning/afternoon for free. They may be able to give you odd shifts during busy periods, I could be wrong, but none of the florists seem to be pulled out, but saying that, they are all still in business. I sincerely wish you good luck

Hi, I am wondering if any one can help or advise me on possible work. After some life changing events over this past year ' a divorce, becoming a single parent with two children, doing my best to pay a mortgage etc without scrounging off government handouts ! '. I have been working as a self employed cleaner to keep me above water just for now but I don't want to do this job forever, I have tried to start a florist course at south Trafford but twice its been cancelled due to lack of students applying. I do not drive so this college was my only option as the closest.
Is there any one out there who knows a local florist who would willing to offer some part time work? or offer some assistance ? I am very creative and have a love of flowers, I held an allotment for a few years and green fingers are in my blood! Please help stuck in a rut at the moment !

I'm posting details from an email I received at work today. Please don't ask me any more about this as I really don't know! If this is of interest to someone or of help then great! It seems they are carrying out the Census Collections next year and are recruiting collectors (not the part of the company I work for hence I don't know anything about it!)... there are 29,000 roles nationwide... details can be found at

That's what his plan is, has just decided this week that it's time to move back to the are and I thought I would check out if anyone was recruiting first so that he could apply direct to them.

Does anyone know of any Barbers that are recruiting? My son is a Hairdresser/Barber and wants to move back to the area and would particularly like to work in a Barbers shop. Many thanks!
