Hi, I have lost my cat called Gerald. We moved to a new address on Highbury Avenue, Flixton M41 8TZ at the start of March and kept the cat in the house for the first few weeks as advised to. On Saturday 18th I let him out in the garden and he was out for about an hour just sniffing around and getting used to the area, but came back in so didn't think that there was a problem.

I came in from work about 3am on Sunday morning and let him and the dog out in the garden for a while and once I called both in, only the dog came back, after a short time I thought that the cat would also appear but he didn't. We have looked all around the area and been shouting and put leaflets through the letterboxes so I know that the neighbours are keeping an eye out, but was wondering if other people that live in the same or close area cold look out for him.

He is 10yrs old and has a distinctive bump about his back legs by his spine where he was hit by a car when he was young. His is all black with a white collar on, (but I think that this may now have come off) If people could check their garages and sheds and if they do think that they may have seen him, please give me a call on 07760-884551.

Many thanks for taking the time to ready through this. Karl.

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help.  Our much loved  pet cat 'George' went missing from the Cedar Drive/Grangethorpe Road area of Urmston. George is a Tabby with a grey/black thick coat, I have put in a link to a photo of him.

George went missing about two weeks ago, he was wearing a reflective collar with a name disc with a conrtact telephone number.  If you have any information as to his whereabouts we would be most gratful, even if its bad news

Hi BeckaM....

Two notices have been nailed to trees on Snowden Avenue  yesterday detailing that a person named Shirlley  has information about a cat with the exact same description as yours.  It would not be right of me to show Shirlys telno here but you can call me on 01617488827 and I will pass on that info to you.

I hope you are lucky ....

Last night (march 10th) my cat Bella jumped into the back of a Lady's van who drove to Marlborough road in Flixton where she jumped out again. She's a large grey cat with a blue collar, if anyone has seen her, please get in touch!

Thank you

Sad news but thanks for the update in case people are still looking. Just remember the good times you had and the privilige of being chosen as your cat's keeper.

Jennisis, also try the national missing pets register here -

He might of just gone for a wander. My two cats have gone missing a few times, for up to 3 months, and they have found their way back one way or another, usually a bit (ahem) fatter.

Our 12 month old Black fluffy male neutered cat, has been missing in the Broadway area of Davyhulme since the evening of 27th January. Hes not wearing a collar but is micro chipped. The underside of his fluffy tail is more dark grey then black. Please would people in the area check their sheds and any other outbuildings for him and let me know on here if there are any sightings or news. My son and our other cat are missing him dreadfully.

Our cat has gone walkabouts in the Bent Lanes area again. He's a ginger cat called Nelson and has always lived in that area until we adopted him in Urmston centre.

Unfortunately, the residents of Bent Lanes seem to think that the cat belongs to them and even though we ask them to call us when he is seen, they never do!

Please, if anyone sees him, let me know or call the number on his tag.

Hi, we have lost our grey and white cat - Leroy. He went missing on Tuesday 27th May at the Urmston end of Church Road. He is mainly grey but has white legs and a white bib. He has a bent/stiff tail. Many thanks to all that have been in touch about the cat around Westmorland and although he looks like Leroy he is in fact black and white, Leroy is much more grey than black. Kids are missing him dreadfully and dearly want him back.

Anyone lost a mainly black (but has gingery markings) cat? We live in the Davyhulme area. Has a "Hills" tag on a gold/yellow collar.

Missing cats safely back home.

Apparently they sneaked in through a neighbour's back door whilst their children were playing out in the back garden and then got themselves shut in a spare room. The neighbour found them on Friday when she next visited the room.

Has anyone lost a dog? Small to medium size very energetic white terrier type of dog, careering around at bottom of Church Road, Queens Road and then down Meadow Road towards meadows. Mainly white with brown blobs and brown collar in grave danger of getting run over. Tried to get hold of him but just too fast. I fear for the poor thing :(

MISSING in the Davyhulme Road area

Female Black 2 year old cat with distinct white nose and chest, also white paws.  Wearing a pink collar.  Unfortunately name tag fell off recently.  She is microchipped.  Missing since Sunday, very unusual for her and a very worried family.  All local vets have been contacted.  Please could anyone in the area check their sheds etc.  Please be in touch if found or any information known.  Thank you for your help.

We found my cat Hatsumi  last night - he had walked down the train track and was caught in thick thorns  behind Mambos. We're so lucky to have found him, he was frightened very thin and very dehydrated. Phew!!

Our cat Hatsumi went missing on Saturday night and hasn't been seen since. We live on Flixton Road opposite the co op. He is a 3 year old good looking silver tabby and is an indoor cat and so isn't very streetwise and has never been out for so long before. He doesn't have a collar but he is microchipped. If anyone has any information please could you get in touch as he is very badly missed. We've put up posters and contacted all the vets and the microchipping site. Please check your sheds etc. Many thanks.

I'm sorry to have to report that a cat was killed this afternoon around 2 p.m., on Church Road, near Dartford News. It was mostly white with some black. No collar. Ran across the road and was hit by a pale blue car, which slowed down briefly, then cleared off and disappeared in the direction of Urmston. Sorry if it was yours.

A bus driver moved the body to the side of the road and a chap in a van then checked it out but sadly no sign of life. He then got in touch with the council to have it taken away. I don't know if the council check for chips or not: does anyone here know?

She's home again. She turned up at a house just off Church road, probably a mile away . Fortunately they took her to the vet to have the ID chip read. Panic over. Thanks again for being on the look out.
