Holiday cat feeding group
Topic posted by GrS ... dated:06 June 2011
I'm going on holiday this summer and as always am finding it tricky to find someone who is able to feed my cat whilst I'm away.  I'm assuming others have a similar issue in the area so wondered if anyone would be interested in setting up a group of contacts who have pets of their own that they would want looking after, and in return are willing to feed others animals when they are away?

Hi

I am looking to find someone who has a cat that would share animal feeding duties while on holiday. Or has a teenager that wants a part time job.  I appreciate that there are professional services out there but to make it worth their while they offer other services like bins that I don't really require.   I have the odd night away with work and also go away for a week once per yearr, so it’s not lots and I would of course reciprocate.

Thanks

Daniel

I am sure with a bit of tutoring she will be able to do that! Actually my friend in Angesley has chickens and my daughter has helped her with them in the past. Just e mail from here and I will pass on her phone number x

Hi Gillykins
Would your Daughter look after 3 very well behaved chickens for one week - if so, please contact me and I will give you all the details.
Thanks

Please pass on my details to your daughter and ask her to contact me if she is available.  It would be for the end of July/first couple of weeks in August.  I'm happy to pay.

I have no idea - she hates asking people for money. Think she got £15 last time she did it. x

Thanks that sounds good.  How much does she normally ask people to pay her?

I usually get my friends or sister to feed mine, but my daughter goes and feeds pet rabbits or takes in hamsters when people are on holiday. She is 17 and very trustworthy, and she does it to top up her ema (which is stopping soon) - if you would like her to go and feed your cats, she does help a lady by doing dogwalking twice a week in between college. She could get a reference for you if you like, and will make sure your cats are ok. We have two of our own, a hamster and a rabbit. If you cannot find anyone, just let me know and I will get her to call you.
