Why was Dave sacked from 1152? He was a breath of fresh air in the morning. The idiot who's replaced him won't last. I know lots of people who have stopped listening to the station now.

I used to use Dave's hairdresser's shop on Moorside Road in the mid-70's. We got into a discussion about my forthcoming wedding, since I didn't have a d.j. for the reception he offered to do it and jolly good he was too. Not too long after that he began work with Piccadilly Radio (remember Curly Shirley?). I'm sure he also mentioned that he used to d.j. at the old Sands club in Stretford Arndale. Good Luck for the future Dave!

I need Dave Ward back in my life - any radio station with any sense should snap him up straight away. I'm disgusted at the way Magic 1152 got rid of him after all those years - gone like he never existed - the likes of me were denied the chance to convey our appreciation and thanks for all those years of fun and laughs. He must have been feeling pretty down that day, I just hope that he reads sites such as these and is given the encouragement to be back on our airwaves soon. Dave, if you read this - just tell me when and where I can listen to you and I'll be there.

Dave's back - BY PUBLIC DEMAND - according to the Metro News. He's back on the Sunday Morning Show on Magic 1152 and will be presenting the Saturday Morning Breakfast show in weeks to come. So, if Dave's back at weekends, I'll be back at the weekends ONLY!

I worked with Dave Ward at Daves Hair Design 1977-79 as his saturday girl. I remember him starting his radio career with Pidgeon News on Piccadilly Radio and got his big break after Pete ? another Picc DJ smashed his car and probably felt very guilty!
